Standard Volunteer Committees

Admissions/Will Call (FILLED): Assist with checking credentials and distribution of pairings guides to spectators. Provide information and assistance to spectators of the tournament. Manage and operate Will Call procedures. Volunteers needed Monday-Sunday

Caddies (FILLED): Assist with caddie registration. Distribute and collect towels. Maintain caddie area and answer questions. Host food, beverages, and amenities for the week. Volunteers needed Monday-Sunday

Communication (FILLED): Responsible for the daily set-up and distribution of radios. Volunteers needed Monday-Sunday

Corporate Hospitality (FILLED): Serve as a concierge for all corporate sponsors in tents and skyboxes. Assist security to ensure only properly credentialed guests are allowed access in the designated areas. Volunteers needed Friday-Sunday

Driving Range/Practice Facilities (FILLED): Maintain driving range, short game area and putting green by ensuring golf balls are available for practice for both professional golfers and amateurs on Pro-Am days. Assist with general operations including identifying players with their appropriate nameplates, verifying credentials, distributing range balls by hand and helping with clinics. Distribute and collect caddie bibs. Volunteers needed Monday-Sunday

Golf Carts: Manage and inventory golf carts in the tournament cart area for tournament staff and officials. Duties may include cart registration, cleaning, distribution, and up keep of where the carts are held. Must be willing to arrive early in the morning and/or leave later in the day. Volunteers needed Monday-Sunday

Long Drive (FILLED): Measure the professional’s shots from tee to fairway. Training is required, and space is limited. Volunteers needed Friday-Sunday

Manual Leaderboards (FILLED): Manage on-course leaderboards by receiving information via radio and posting the score on leaderboards located around the course. Volunteers needed Friday-Sunday

Marshals: Ensure players are not disturbed during play and enforce crowd control. Other responsibilities include reducing distractions to maintain pace of play, locate errant golf balls and promote safety and enjoyment of the spectators. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Starting times vary according to hole-assignment. Volunteers needed Monday and Wednesday-Sunday

Media (FILLED): Assist Media Center with registration and general operations. Welcome local, national and international media. Volunteers needed Monday-Sunday

On-Course Distribution: Stock and deliver on-course refreshments (water, beverages, fruit, snacks, etc.) to specific areas on the course. Also, responsible for distributing daily pairings guides and programs throughout the golf course. Physical work/heavy lifting required Volunteers needed Monday-Sunday

Player Hospitality (FILLED): Register PGA TOUR Champions players and assist with their needs and questions during tournament week. Serve as a concierge for players and families in hospitality area. Volunteers needed Monday-Sunday

Transportation (FILLED): Greet players, officials, and VIPs at the airport and assist them with their transportation needs. Drive professionals, their families and VIPs between hotels, events, etc. during tournament week. Must be over 25 years of age and provide a valid driver’s license. Volunteers needed Friday, September 14th through Monday September 24th, with possible early mornings and late evenings.

Pro-Am (FILLED) : Assist with registration and gift distribution for amateurs playing in Pro-Am events. Volunteers needed Monday-Thursday

Roving Marshal (FILLED): Ensure players are not disturbed with their clubs during play and enforce crowd control and golf etiquette among spectators in high traffic areas. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Needed Monday and Wednesday-Sunday

Shuttles (FILLED): Shuttle professions, amateurs, and volunteers on the golf course. Must know golf cart etiquette. Must be at least 18 years old. Needed Monday and Wednesday-Sunday

Standard Bearer (FILLED): Walk inside the ropes with a group of pros for 18 holes. Carry the group’s identification sign that displays individual scores for the group. Volunteers needed Friday-Sunday

TV spotters (FILLED): Assist the Golf Channel with tournament production by providing updated scoring information for TV coverage. Volunteers needed Friday-Sunday

Tournament Office (FILLED): Helping in the tournament office prior and during the event (greeting guests, mailing, tickets, uniform packaging) Needed 1 week before and during the tournament.

Volunteer Headquarters/Uniforms (FILLED): Distribute uniforms to volunteers prior and during the tournament and assist with overall organization and operation of the volunteer headquarters area during the tournament. Supervise preparation of volunteer meal distribution during tournament week. Volunteers needed Monday-Sunday

Walking Scorers (FILLED): Score the pros throughout their 18-hole round with a hand-held palm device. It is important that the walking scorer understands the game of golf. Mandatory training is provided prior to the tournament (date: TBD). Must work one (1) Pro-Am day to walk during the tournament rounds. Volunteers needed Monday-Sunday

Junior Volunteer Committees

Driving Range: Assist with setting up and maintaining practice balls and standards on the driving range, chipping and putting green.

Junior Standard Bearer: Carrying the standard (the sign with the names of the professionals and their score) for 18 holes. A walking scorer will be walking along to assist with the official scoring.
